Whissell served as Prime Contractor for the Blackwolf Subdivision Phase 11A - Uplands Blvd project in Lethbridge, delivering the underground water and sanitary infrastructure required to support the subdivision's continued development. This engagement builds on Whissell's established history within the Blackwolf Subdivision, having previously completed multiple stages; providing deep familiarity with the site, the Owner's standards, and the local utility infrastructure. The project involved installation of large-diameter PVC watermain, sanitary and storm sewer mains, manholes, hydrants, valves, CCTV inspection, field testing, subcontractor management and related civil works, all coordinated through Whissell's Lethbridge-based team.

Scope:

• 335 m of 450 mm DR18 PVC watermain and 85 m of 200 mm DR18 PVC watermain
• 5 450 mm valves and 2 200 mm valves
• Removal, salvage, and reinstallation of 1 existing fire hydrant
• Installation of 2 new fire hydrant assemblies
• 2 1200 mm Type 1 sanitary manholes and 1 sanitary manhole exterior drop
• 367 m of 450 mm DR35 PVC gravity sewer main and 370 m of 200 mm DR35 PVC gravity sewer main
• 1130 m of CCTV sewer inspection at substantial completion and final acceptance
• Storm drainage infrastructure, including gravity sewer mains (250 mm–600 mm), catch basin leads, storm manholes, headwalls, a control structure, and catch basins
• Lot servicing for 79 lots (sanitary, water, and storm) and 622 m of shallow PVC utility crossings beneath future roads and laneways
• Grading of over 26,000 m³ for surrounding lots and storm pond construction
• Concrete flatwork and roadway construction, including sidewalks, curb and gutter, and paving of approximately 8,000 m² of roadways and lanes
• 900 m of snow fence, 300 m of silt fence, field testing of manholes and sanitary mains, and associated general requirements
